This house is their story. More than a building, the ALABRI HOME is a living memory — shaped by the hands, dreams, and daily life of generations who called this place their own. Restoring it was not just about heritage. It was about bringing a family's history — and the spirit of Wajmah — back to life.

130 years old, the ALABRI HOME is the spirit of these mountains. Here, every stone seems to speak of the past — of paused time — where an old, newly opened door now proudly welcomes you in. This house is a place to reconnect: with memories, with forgotten family traditions, and with the essence of Omani heritage.

Memory Rebuilt by Hands

The restoration of the ALABRI HOME was more than a building project - it was a quiet dialogue with time. For two years, we restored this house with mindful hands and open hearts - honoring its story with every stone and stroke. It was a search-not just for techniques, but for meaning. We didn’t try to erase time. We listened to it.

From Heritage to Hospitality

Rather than follow blueprints, we followed feeling. Wajmah shaped itself — guided not by plans, but by presence.

Nature spoke first. The land, the silence, the memories held in stone — all led the way. This house, shaped by three generations, became our compass. We listened: to stories, to the rhythm of the mountains, to what was already here. And so, room by room, scent by shape, it became a living space of the five elements — not just a guesthouse, but a home reborn in harmony.

Sustainable Becoming

Sustainability is not a feature here — it’s the foundation. We reused what the house gave us: wood, stone, old forms. Walls finished with traditional sarooj clay ensure a naturally indoor climate. A clever water system returns clean mountain spring water for drinking, and recycles greywater to nourish the garden — drop by drop.

In Wajmah, water is life — and every choice is made with that in mind.
