“AL WUSTA” = it means the middle room, the room in the center of the house. It served as a living and sleeping room for one of brothers Thabit`s mother. Family father had two wifes, they both lived in this house, in different rooms. Children lived in this room together with the mother.

Dates store. The family used to store all their dates harvest in this room. Dates were consumed on daily basis in big quantities. All the dates from their gardens were stored here for the whole year. It was stored in big pottery jars, and in bags woven from the palm leaves. They were not making any dates syrup in the house, only keeping the dates for daily consumption.
