ALABRI HOME is located in Wajmah village, in the heart of Wadi Sahtan — approximately 40 km from Rustaq.
Nestled in dramatic mountain scenery, just below Oman’s highest peak, Jebel Shams, at an altitude of around 1,200 meters, the home is reached via a steep but breathtaking off-road drive, followed by a short walk through the village and its farms.

Access Details:

From Rustaq, an easily drivable asphalt road leads through Wadi Sahtan to a parking lot near the junction with villages of Al Faraa and Al Nid. Saloon cars shall not continue beyond this point. Upon request, guests can be picked up from this location (charges apply).

From this point, the road continues up to the mountains as a steep, narrow and unpaved offroad for 4.2 kms, ending eventually in Wajmah village. A 4x4 vehicle is strictly necessary for undertaking this road, as you will ascend more than 500m of altitude within a short distance.

Parking space is limited in Wajmah village. Please do park your vehicle at the Visitors Parking (marked by a Ministry of Tourism brown board).

The small parking at the end of the road is strictly reserved for hotel operations and village inhabitants.

Walking path through the village:

From the car parking, follow the walking trail to
ALABRI HOME (approximately 400m).

The trail initially navigates through the ancient alleys of Wajmah village, then goes down and crosses the valley (wadi) and continues on the other side of the agriculture terraces till ALABRI HOME.

The expected travel time from Muscat to Wadi Sahtan is 1h45min, plus a further 15min offroad drive to Wajmah village. The walk through the village to
ALABRI HOME takes in average 10-15 minutes at a leisurely pace.
